Jot Anant

Harnessing the power of the ancient wisdom of yoga to heal ourselves as a way to contribute to healing the world is at the core of all of Jot Anant’s teachings.  She shares her love, compassion, playfulness, and joy through a holistic and balanced approach taught to her by her teacher, Himalayan Yoga Master Yogrishi Vishvketu, founder of Akhanda Yoga.

Jot Anant draws upon her diverse education in Intuitive Yin Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Yoga for PTSD & TBI, Kirtan, Yoga Philosophy, Pranayama, and Thai Yoga Bodywork to create a safe space in which students can explore the depth of their being and use their own intuition to support expansion and transformation.

As a devoted karma and bhakti yogini, Jot Anant is humbled by the opportunity to support students in their individual journey, and to shine a light on the importance of bringing mindfulness into action, taking what we learn from our time on the mat out into the unique ways that we interact with each other and the World.

As a lover of life and seeker of wisdom Jot Anant continues to deepen her own spiritual practice through seva and self-study, and by remaining an eager and open hearted student of life, striving to walk through the world lightly with grace, humor, and purpose.

In early November Rishikesh ranges from 60-80 degrees. In early November Kathmandu ranges from 45-74 degrees. It can get a bit cooler when the sun goes down so you may like to ensure you have a shawl & warm sweater (both of which can be purchased in India or Nepal).

  • The retreat begins on November 1st. I encourage you to arrive at minimum one full day early to give yourself time to settle in. If space is available you can pay for the additional nights stay at Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, or I can suggest some alternate places to stay close by.
  • The retreat will end on November 10th, check out from Niru Yoga Homestay is 11am. Some may wish to stay in Nepal to explore more regions (which I highly suggest if you have the time). Rajan can support us with arranging vehicles to the airport or elsewhere if you need.

You can certainly use the ATMs throughout the trip, however, they are not always guaranteed to have cash available, so it is best to bring some with you. You bank will likely have to order the currency as they usually do not have it on hand, so please plan to do so weeks in advance.

Any questions?
