The Essence of Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced practice that emphasizes long-held postures & conscious breathwork, allowing you to connect deeply with the body’s fascia & connective tissues.

Unlike more vigorous, yang-based practices, Yin Yoga invites you to embrace stillness & surrender to the sensory experience. Through these long holds, tension, stress, & repressed emotions are gently released, creating space for greater clarity, lightness, & emotional freedom.

This practice encourages you to be present with your body and breath, enabling a deep sense of calm & restoration.

Power of restorative

Restorative Yoga is an essential practice for deep relaxation & healing.

Using ample props to support long-held, floor-based postures, Restorative Yoga allows the body to fully surrender, creating an environment where tension in the muscles dissolves, & the nervous system is invited to reset.

The longer holds in Restorative poses offer a powerful opportunity to quiet the mind, slow mental chatter, & release long-held emotional blockages. This practice taps into the body’s innate ability to heal, offering profound rest & a renewed sense of energy.

What You Will Learn:

  • Yin Yoga Techniques: How to practice & teach Yin Yoga postures, breathing techniques, & meditative practices to promote deep relaxation & fascia release.
  • Restorative Yoga Techniques: How to create & guide restorative sequences that support complete relaxation & healing for students of all levels.
  • Akhanda Methodology: The philosophy & practice of Akhanda, with an emphasis on the interconnectedness of body, mind, & spirit in the Adi Nath Shiva tradition.
  • Anatomy & Physiology: A deeper understanding of connective tissue, fascia, and how Yin & Restorative Yoga interact with the body’s structures to promote long-term health.
  • The Philosophy of Yin & Lunar Qualities: Explore the philosophy behind Yin Yoga and its connection to the lunar, feminine, & receptive qualities of the practice.
